Assistant Professor and Small Fruit Extension Specialist
Horticulture
- My primary goal as a small fruit extension specialist in the state of Georgia is to improve berry production systems, making them more efficient and sustainable by using methods and inputs that improve yield and quality. My research program focus on whole plant physiology, nutrient management practices and cultural practices in blueberries, and other small fruits. Diverse management practices affect plant physiology and determines yield and postharvest quality. Therefore, understanding the physiology behind each cultural management practice will help growers improve production practices and obtain maximum and consistent yields.
